The DSS / RYCT Dinghy Group is a joint venture between the Derwent Sailing Squadron (DSS) and the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania (RYCT). It is run by volunteers and offers a safe and fun environment for kids and adults to learn sailing in a variety of boats.

Midwinter Youth Regatta

Tasmanian Laser sailors are showing good form in first two races of the 2009 2009 Queensland Youth Week incorporating the Australian Midwinter Youth Championships.

In the radial section 4 sailors rounded the top mark in 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th indicating the fruits of their intensive training program are paying dividends.

Winter Racing Program

The Dinghy Group's 2009 Winter Racing Program starts on Sunday 24th May with two back to back races starting at 1000 (time of 1st warning signal). 

The Sailing Instructions are available for download under the events calendar and entry forms (and money collector!) will be available on the morning of each race from 0830.

Mothers Day training for sabots

After making their mothers breakfast in bed a fleet of Sabot sailors arrived at the Royal Yacht Club of Tasmania for the second round of winter training.
