The annual combined club and Camp Quality picnic was held on Sunday the 15th Feb at Richardsons beach and was a tremendous success despite somewhat less than summer weather. Danny Cole must be congratulated once again for delivering the cricket gear, BBQ equipment and enough food and drinks for everyone to the beach before everyone arrived.
The highlight were once agin the Elliots with some very competitive sailing on the way home and some intersting kite manouveres. I still think the boats go faster when the spinnaker is hoisted the right way up.
Well done to Biddy from the RYCT for organising the yachts to host the Camp Quality families and to Richard Catt for bringing the "fishing boat" to take some of the fortunate down in luxury. The duck was not quite as luxurious but it was good to have as a ferry and was quite useful pulling up the diehard wakeboarders that had a go on my kiteboard after lunch.
Thanks to all for making it such a fun day. Make sure you plan it in your calendar for next year.
