Conditions:
- Participants must be at least 8 years old and be able to swim 25 metres unaided.
- The Beginner group caters for 8 to 18 years old and is capped at 50 entrants on a first come first served basis.
- All activities on the water require personal flotation devices (PFD) of appropriate size and that meet current Australian Standards.
- Participant, or their guardian if under 18, has sole and exclusive responsibility whether to participate
- All sailors except beginners or crew, must own their own boat
- Dinghy Group reserves the right to cancel entry

GENERAL INFORMATION:
The following information will assist in answering commonly asked questions regarding our Sail School:
- The sail school is an Yachting Australia approved training program
- Coaching for dinghy sailors is conducted in Sabots, Flying 11’s, Mirrors, 420’s, Lasers, Int. Cadets, Pacers and any other class where the numbers justify a sep
arate coach. - Interstate and local coaches are used
- High calibre coaching for all classes and abilities
- Prior registration is essential as places are limited
- Cost is $160 per person
ESSENTIAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS (REQUIRED FOR PARTICIPATION):
- Approved personal flotation device
- (PFD type1 or type 2)
- Wet suit
- Wet suit boots or old sand shoes
- Sun hat and sun screen
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED:
- Spray jacket, thermals & gloves
- Change of clothing including socks and shoes
- Bathers, towel & hat
- Suggest all items of clothing be named.
- No responsibility is taken for loss of valuables
Peter Johnston, Sail School's sponsor, have a large range of suitable sailing gear including personal flotation devices.
SAILING PROGRAM
Participants should be ready for sailing by 09:30 (08:30 Seniors) as training sessions start promptly at 10:00 (09:00 seniors).
Participants will be off the water by 16:00 each day.
A variety of ‘off water’ training activities will be available should the weather be unsuitable for sailing.
Lunch will be available for purchase from the canteen on each day.
