Scary Load

On completion of this years Bachelor Cup, sailors from Dinghy Group and the Tasmanian Sailing Academy packed up their boats ready to take part in the Sail Down Under Series as well as national titles and youth championships. This is the start of a journey for 25 plus members who are sailing laser full rigs, radial's, 4.7's, 420's and 470's.

The photo above is of four lasers, one 470 and one rib being towed by a Scary's Golf!! (If Volkswagon are looking for a promo for their vehicles this would be a great!)

The Sail Down Under series started this weekend with Sail Brisbane, with DG being represented by Zac Pullen in his Laser Radial and Amelia Catt sailing with Lucy Shepherd in their 420.  It then moves to Sydney where a large contingent of DG sailors compete before moving on to Melbourne in mid Dec. Ideal preparations for the National and Youth events after Christmas and the New Year.

Assuming Scary can get his Golf out of his driveway, we wish all of our sailors the best of luck in these events and look forward to hearing how they go.
